Dear All,

Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (EECS) and Data Science & Cybersecurity Center (DSC2) at Howard University, Washington, DC, USA has multiple research-staff/postdoc positions and multiple Ph.D. positions for research and innovation in cybersecurity, machine learning/artificial intelligence, wireless networking security and/or IoT/cyber physical systems including cyber-manufacturing. The projects are multiyear and are funded by NSF, DoD and NSA.

For the research-staff/postdoc positions, academic training and/or experience in machine learning/artificial intelligence applied to wireless security, cyber physical systems security and/or distributed computing are required. Earned PhD degree with qualifications in the following areas are strong plus:

- Knowledge of machine learning/artificial intelligence, adversarial machine learning, virtualization, cyber physical systems, cyber-manufacturing, and/or systems and network security
- Hands-on experience with real-time cybersecurity, small/big data analytics and related tools.
- Hands-on experiences in OpenStack ecosystem, Linux system administration, TensorFlow, cluster management, virtual machines/containers, shell scripting
- Capability of building systems prototypes based on reference publications and/or open-source code base
- Programming skills: C/C++, Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Web programming

For the Ph.D. positions, relevant background in computer science, computer engineering, and/or electrical engineering are required, and earned MS degree in EE, CpE, CS, or a relevant area, experience in formal
mathematical modeling and research will be plus.
