ABOUT THE POSITION: The College of Business at The University of Alabama in Huntsville invites applications for a full-time, renewable, non-tenure-track clinical assistant professor position in Information Systems-Cybersecurity. We seek applicants who welcome the challenges and rewards of serving on a diverse and intellectually curious faculty of a growing college located in a dynamic and supportive high technology community. 

Responsibilities: Teach graduate and undergraduate Information Systems and Cybersecurity courses, which include but are not limited to introduction to cybersecurity, computer forensics, cybersecurity management, and network security to support the college's graduate and undergraduate programs in IS and Cybersecurity.  Conduct and publish quality applied research in a collegial environment in which both intra- and inter-disciplinary collaborations are valued. Participate actively in the profession, university service, and outreach to the region's businesses, governments, and the community at large.

Qualifications: A candidate must have a Ph.D. in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline. A Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited institution is preferred. Candidates must have and maintain scholarly or professional activities in their area of specialization sufficient to meet the college's AACSB qualification standards, and have a commitment to excellence in graduate and undergraduate education. We prefer candidates with teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels and those who have the potential to engage with businesses, organizations, and federal agencies in the region. The successful candidate must be eligible to hold a U.S. security clearance as a condition of employment.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE: The College of Business is accredited by AACSB International and has approximately 32 tenured and tenure-track faculty, 35 research and part-time faculty, 1,100 undergraduates, and over 350 graduate students. It offers a BSBA degree with majors in management, marketing, information systems, accounting, and finance; a BS in Economics and Computational Analysis degree; and seven graduate degrees: an MBA, and specialized masters' degrees in Accounting, Business Analytics, Cybersecurity, Human Resource Management, Information Systems, and Supply Chain and Logistics Management. APPLICATION PROCEDURE AND DEADLINE: Applicants must submit the following via email to the search committee at ISsearch@uah.edu: a letter of interest, a curriculum vita, evidence of teaching performance, and three reference letters. Review of candidates begins January 15, 2021, but applications will continue to be accepted until the position is filled. The position will begin in the fall 2021.
